Colombo Couture

Neoclassic or Neo Baroque? Orientalism or Eclectism? Limited edition or extraordinary pieces? Colombostile is all this, from the Tsar throne to San Marco winged chest of drawers, every collection is studied, elaborated, invented, until it becomes the quintessence of style.  Different tastes and styles, expression of international designers, are joined by the imaginative luxury of Colombostile.  The new Colombo Couture collection designed by Samuele Mazza, fits in the continuity of this company philosophy. As in alk fields, in the Haute Couture there are icons. For this season I thought to pay tribute to some masters of French style that influenced my way to create. The environment of the stand is the allegory of a parade inside a Maison de mode. We have created an imaginary parterre with the virtual presence of photographers, with a "front" that houses the guidlines of the major fashion and costume magazines. The chairs have 40 - heel; all furniture is inspired or transformed by clothing of various fashion designers. The legendary Chanel suits become seats and beds, the graphic designers of Dior become furniture, the warm and seductivejellaba of Yves Saint Laurent become sittings, pearl necklaces and white camellias adored by Coco are transformed into light sources, tables and furnishing accessories, the hourglass line of paul Poiret becomes stool, armchair.... The Immaginary location is paris, which lends itself to ideal scenario to introduce other details that well conceptualise the concept. So well worth a mention in Haussmann - style, lamps and interior finishes of the stand, music recorded by Malcolm McLaren on his album Paris Paris.
