Valsecchi: tribute to the wood with Stickcollection

Gianfranco and Sergio Valsecchi, in 2010 decided to begin a new collection to be placed on the design furniture market by entrusting the artistic direction to Enrico Baleri. The new division Valsecchi 1918, combines the year of the company 's foundation (1918) to the shape of Pinocchio, because in the 30' the company produced wooden toys. Under the new division the Stickcollection emerged and Luigi Baroli is the designer.  The collection combines skillfully the use of Valsecchi Spa technology with design criteria of the new design philosophy, where, details of quality, ergonomics, ecology, discretion and lightness, become a must have. A collection created to furnish interior home environments, also suitable outdoors thanks to wooden finishes made of acrylic paints of external use, which can easily be emplyed for public equipments, community, large spaces furniture. And as Alessandro Mendini writes: " It is really a pleasure, this. See today's real furniture, designed now but as real as those once used...". Stickcollection is a tribute to wood used skillfully with discretion and lightness, featured by some quality details projecting it into the future, taking its noble origins in history of furniture... Habsburg first, Skandinavian then. The floor support of the sticks (stick), which are fixed stylistic components of Valsecchi collection, is featured by a thermoplastic rubber foot providing a soft floor support, the silence on impact with the floor and easy cleaning.
